Susan G. Komen is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1.9 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, we’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® and the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure®, and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

The mission of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Currently, over 90 cents of every dollar donated goes to research and awareness programs.

The mission of the Catherine Peachey Fund is to promote advances in breast cancer research and treatment. We provide financial support to research and programs that we believe are best positioned to move from the bench to the clinic. We interact directly with the physicians and researchers we fund, and follow our grantees and their work. We have granted 2.5 million dollars to research and programs moving us closer to a cure for breast cancer. This focus on breast cancer treatment and research has been a unique partnership between the consumer and the leadership of breast cancer research in Indiana.

The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer was founded on courage, compassion and commitment. Moved by the loss of their dear friend, Mary Sloan, Vera Bradley Co-founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller embraced the cause and began raising funds for breast cancer research in 1993. Their mission: To save lives and to put an end to the disease that took their friend and so many more. Today, the Vera Bradley Foundation supports the team of researchers at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis at the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research Laboratories.
